2D map doesn't move with my current position arrow ?

When i was driving only the 3D map was "moving" with my position, when i selected 2D view - map was frozen, and my "current position arrow went off screen...." needed to change back to 3D to pick up current positioning...

click the three-mode button, bottom right in map view
