Strange routing UK

Try from Perth (Scotland) town center to Ullapool town center add a waypoint on the A9 in Dalwhinnie on the A9. Routing Fastest all road preferences set to 50%.
In fact add any waypoint on the A9 between Perth and Aviemore.
Without waypoints route totally avoids the A9.
