Speed warning for crossing streets

This post reminded me of an issue I have experienced myself with the Android version and free maps:
You are using the maps when driving, but without navigation. You have set up speed warnings.
Each time your current street is crossed/touched by another street, but one with a lower speed limit you would exceed, you will receive a (short) speed limit warning. Hence you get a warning for a street you are not driving on. This is quite annoying. Could you please fix that?
